Happy Friday Douglasdale Families! 

Did you know you can translate our weekly message into different languages?  To do this, go to Douglasdale School website, select Google Translate and click on the downward facing arrow.

It was another great week of excitement and learning at DDS! Students were eager to show off their costumes during our school-wide Halloween parade. Most of the classes also engaged in seasonal learning activities. You can find out more by visiting your child’s Google Classroom where teachers post pictures and learning highlights.  

We are starting to get quite a collection of lost items. Please take a moment to check out our school Instagram where we have posted a video showing all items. If you recognize something, please ask your child to come pick it up. We will also have items on display during our upcoming Parent/Teacher conferences.

Field trip Fees & Absences: 

Just a friendly reminder that field trip fees must be paid prior to the event taking place. The school pays the cost   of field trips in advance for all students to attend.  If your child is absent on the day of the event, the fee will not be removed from your account.  If you are going on vacation and have not signed the consent form, the fee will be removed from your account. 

 

Fall Picture Re-takes – November 6, 2023: 

If you would like your child’s fall picture re-taken, please email your child’s teacher before November 5, 2023.   

 

Parent / Teacher Conferences – November 23 & 24, 2023: 

We will be holding In-Person and Online Conferences again this year.  Parent/Teacher Conferences bookings will open on November 8 at 4:30pm and close on November 22, 2023 at 11:59pm.  Further information to follow.
