Happy Friday Douglasdale Families! 

When students returned on Wednesday, our school community took time to recognize Truth and Reconciliation Day.  Our grade 2 team prepared a beautiful introduction as we first gathered in Circle and then moved into our multi-age groups to learn about the East section of the medicine wheel – representing the Fall equinox and understanding Body – To Be. After reading the story 'Jingle Dancer', students used their bodies to try out a few movements. It was heartwarming to watch our older students mentoring and supporting our younger learners throughout the activity!
