Dear DDS Families,

Conference bookings have opened for our March 21 and 22nd conferences. The March conferences are an opportunity for teachers, parents, and students to celebrate growth and discuss next steps in learning. We are inviting students to be an active part of the conference process. An important part of our School Development Plan is, ‘students are actively involved in assessment practices’. During your 15-minute private conference, students will share work examples and reflect on their work in relation to success criteria. Success criteria is what students are expected to be able to understand and do connected to curriculum. If you and your child are unable to attend conferences at the offered times, please connect with your child’s teacher to make alternate arrangements.

Wishing you a great weekend!

Scholastic Book Fair:

Each year we host Scholastic Book Fair as a fundraiser for our school library and to add new titles to our book club selections for classroom reading groups. We will again host a book fair during March parent/teacher/student conferences. We are seeking volunteers who can help students pick out their books and make their purchases. Students will preview the book fair on Tuesday, March 19th and can purchase books during the day on Wednesday, March 20, during the day/evening on Thursday, March 21, and/or during the morning on Friday, March 22.  If you can volunteer for this event, please sign up here: Book Fair Volunteers Sign Up

 School Council Meeting

Our next school council meeting will be on March 13th. We will send out the link closer to the date for parents who prefer to attend online. For families who will join us in person we will meet in the school library. If you would like to attend and access babysitting services, please sign up here
