Happy Friday DDS Families,
While the sun and warm temperatures were lovely this week, the weather did create some challenges during outdoor recess and learning times. If your child is someone who loves puddles, please check in with them about putting a spare pair of socks and pants into their backpack. We also ask that you review ice safety with your child(ren). The back compound, pit area, and field are covered in ice. While ice is fun to slide on, it can be quite dangerous if they lose their balance. Supervisors will be asking students to avoid the ice when possible, and when crossing ice is unavoidable, our reminder is ‘walk like a penguin’. Thank you for helping us keep students safe while enjoying outdoor play and fresh air. Thank you for also labeling your child’s outdoor clothing so we can make sure items left outside or in the lost and found make it back to them. We hope you have a wonderful weekend ahead!
Cheers,
DDS Administrative Team
