Happy Friday DDS Families, 

We hope you survived the cold snap this week. It is definitely sweater weather! On that note, if you happen to be missing some sweaters or outdoor wear, please ask your child to check our growing ‘lost and found’ collection. 

 Starting next week, we are going to designate Fridays as DDS Spirit Days. Students are invited to wear DDS clothing or items with DDS colours – green, blue, and/or purple. Let’s build a sea of spirit on Fridays as a fun way to beat this cold. You can view examples of DDS school spirit wear on our school website.

Adult Learning Session: The Feedback Formula with Michelle Blais March 13^th at 6:30 pm: 

Douglasdale School Council invites parents (and adult family members) to an evening focused on how to use feedback to build confidence in children. Using her years of experience in education and psychology, Michelle Blais will lead families through a simple step-by-step process to positively impact your child’s confidence. New Clubs: 

STEM Club: Students in grades 1 and 2 are invited to sign up for STEM Club! This club will meet over lunchtime, with students working on different challenges. Students will reflect on their creations and revise and try projects again. Please only sign up if your student is interested in joining at lunchtime and plans to attend all 6 sessions.

Blue Day Earliest Drop Off Time: 

Just a friendly reminder the earliest time students can be dropped off at school on a blue day is 8:35am.
