Happy Friday DDS Families, 

This week, we were supported by the Calgary Police Service and the Calgary Parking Authority in reminding drivers in our community of important school-zone safety practices. Thank you to the many families who are already mindful of speed limits, avoiding U-turns in school zones and crosswalks, and parking only in designated areas. 

If your child walks to school, please take a moment to review safe street-crossing practices with them, as we have noticed an increase in jaywalking. With slippery road conditions in the mornings, these reminders help ensure all students arrive at school safely and return home safely as well.  

We are also asking students to walk around the large ice patches in the back compound and field area. While we know slipping and sliding is fun, we are seeing an increase in falls. Thank you for helping us keep students safe!

Kids Coollege Child Care – 2026-2027 Registration: 

We have been informed by Kids Coollege they are offering an AM drop off and pick up for kindergarten next school year.   They have limited spaces and recommend families register as soon as possible for the waitlist.   

 2024-2025 Tax Receipts – Now Available: 

2024-2025 Tax receipts are now available in your MyCBE Account.  Select menu – Tax Receipts. 

Snack / Lunch Utensils: 

Just a friendly reminder to include utensils with your child’s snack / lunch. 

 2026-2027 Kindergarten Registration Opened January 12, 2026: 

Please click on the Kindergarten registration link for information and the process. Confirmation of enrollment will be sent to families in May once all the applications are processed. We plan to offer morning kindergarten for 2026-2027 but this will be confirmed in April when our yearly calendar is approved. Our online Welcome to Kindergarten session will be held on May 28^th and our New Student Open House is planned for June 5, 2026.
