School Council Needs You!
The next School Council meeting will be February 21st at 6:30 pm. We will be offering free babysitting for this meeting – registration is required. Meeting information, including an online link for those who prefer to attend virtually, will be sent closer to the date. At this meeting school administration will review budget information and engage parents in important decisions regarding next year.

2023 Child Tax Receipts Now Available:
2023 Tax Receipts are now available in your MyCBE Account. See link for instructions Tax Receipts
Are your children attending Douglasdale School next year?
As we begin our planning for the next school year, we would like to know if you are planning to remain at Douglasdale School. Accurate enrolment data helps us to plan effectively.
We want to remind parents that our current grade 5 students will automatically be enrolled for grade 6 at their designated school for August 2024. You do not need to do anything.
Please inform us if your child(ren) will NOT be attending Douglasdale School in August, 2024 by emailing Ms. Naylor senaylor@cbe.ab.ca ASAP.
Please confirm the following information in your email:
· Student Name(s)
· Current Classroom(s)
· New School
If you are transferring to a different CBE school, please complete the attached Student Transfer form and email Ms. Naylor ASAP. If you are leaving the CBE school division, you do not need to complete the Student Transfer form.
If your child(ren) is/are remaining at Douglasdale School next year, you do not need to email Ms. Naylor. Thank you.
Kindergarten Registrations – Please check you School Engage Account:
Thank you to our kindergarten families who have already registered for the 2024-25 school year. Early registration allows us to thoughtfully plan forward for staffing. If you have registered for Kindergarten, please check your School Engage account to see if additional information is required for registration purposes. We will process registrations when we have received all required information and documents. Families can expect a welcome email in March, including details about an online information session and invitation to our Kindergarten Open House.
NEW – Volunteer Applications – MyCBE Account:
From February 9, 2024, you will be able to apply to be a volunteer via your MyCBE Account (School Engage - forms). In addition to completing your registration form online you can also upload two pieces of government ID. Once you receive your CPS clearance letter you can upload a copy to your MyCBE account.
2023-2024 Yearbook – Now Available:
The 2023-2024 Yearbook is now available to purchase through your MyCBE Account under Student Fees- School Based Optional Fees. The cost is $30.00 each. We are planning to publish our yearbook earlier this year, to provide an opportunity for students to receive their yearbook prior to summer break.
Planned Absences over 5 days:
Vacations or planned absences over five days require an Extended Absence form completed and returned to the office before you leave for your trip. Please click on the link to complete.
