IMPORTANT - 2026-2027 Enrolment Intentions Form – April 16, 2026:

On April 16 at 8:00am you will receive an email from the school regarding your child’s enrolment for next year.   The email provides instructions on how to complete this form.

It is very important that families complete this form and confirm their registration at DDS for next year.  Having accurate enrolment information helps us plan staffing, classroom organization, and resources to best support our students.    We recognize plans may not be finalized for the 2026-27 school year. Regardless, we ask you to complete the form based on current information and intentions.

If you are thinking of moving your child to another school, schools need to know this information for planning purposes. Please note this form does not replace the transfer process.

If your child is moving to grade 6, their designated new school will be shown in the document; this form is still required to be completed.

Any changes to telephone numbers in this form will not be updated in PowerSchool.  You will still be required to complete a new student demographic form.

If you have any questions, please call Mrs. Naylor 403-777-6177.

School Council Meeting - Wednesday April 15, 2026:

We would like to invite all families to attend our April School Council meeting. We will be sharing important information about our 2026-27 school year and asking families for input. All attendees will be entered into a Spring Family Dance package including tickets, VIP parking, and a gift card to use at the canteen. A specific meeting invite will be sent out on Monday.

Douglasdale School Council is currently hosting an online rain barrel sale. The sale will run until April 30th with an anticipated pick-up day of May 13th - delivery options are available. $10 from each rain barrel will come back to the school and all rain barrels are eligible for the City of Calgary's rain barrel rebate. For more information and to pre-order visit https://rainbarrel.ca/douglasdaleschool.

Council has changed the delivery date to May 13th to ensure you have your rain barrels to catch the May showers.

 Pop Can Tabs:

Mr. Young’s grade 5 class is excited to pick up a project that can make a big difference in our community. They will be collecting pop can tabs to donate to Megan Belenky, who uses these tabs to purchase a wheelchair for someone in need in her father's memory.

We are asking students to bring in clean pop can tabs from home. You can collect them from soda cans, soup cans, or any other aluminum cans with pull tabs. Every little bit helps! If your child participates in any community teams doing a spring bottle drive, this is a great way to collect a large number quickly. Please send tabs to school with your child anytime over the next few months. Thank you for supporting this simple and meaningful way to give back to our community!

Deadline Approaching - Order your 2025-2026 Yearbook:

The optional fee for a yearbook is now available in your MyCBE Account – School Based Optional Fees. The yearbook includes an individual photograph of each student, classroom snapshots, and a whole school picture. If you wish to order a yearbook, please ensure you pay this fee by April 30th, 2016.
