Dear DDS Families,
It was wonderful to welcome back everyone after our spring break!
Thank you to our families and community members who purchased items from the Scholastic Book Fair. Through this fundraiser DDS earned $4,840.00 towards adding new titles to our school library.
Another exciting update is that we are starting to rebuild our living wall thanks to the money raised through our monthly Healthy Hunger fundraisers. The living wall is a cherished part of DDS that many students use as a regulation strategy and learning opportunity. Also, we wanted to express thanks to our fish expert Randy and our facility operator Tim for persevering through our plumbing issues and recreating a new wall which we are excited to see grow and flourish! We are thankful for Ms. Audette’s grade four class for nursing the surviving plants until they could be transplanted back into the living wall.
Wishing you an amazing week ahead!
